Mr Daniel Alexander Q.C. (sitting as a Deputy Judge of the Chancery Division) has handed down his judgment in Lakhani v Mahmud [2017] EWHC 1713 (Ch). This was an appeal by the defendants to theclaim from an order of HHJ Lochrane, whereby he dismissed the defendants’ application for relief from the sanctions provided for by CPR 3.14 in respect of the failure to comply with one of the case management orders relating to the filing of costs budgets.
