Selborne Chambers is delighted to invite you to our Half-Day Commercial Conference 2026, taking place at the prestigious Honourable Society of the Inner Temple on Thursday, 1st October 2026.

Join members of the Selborne Chambers Commercial Team for an engaging half-day conference exploring the latest developments and key issues shaping commercial law. Through a series of practical and topical presentations, our barristers will provide valuable insights and guidance on the issues that matter most to commercial practitioners and their clients.

Places are limited and early booking is recommended. Once your booking has been accepted, we will issue an invoice. Your place will be confirmed upon receipt of payment.

Our first release of tickets is available at the Early Bird rate of £95 + VAT until 31st July 2026. After which the standard conference fee of £120 + VAT will apply, so be sure to book early to secure the discounted rate.

Imaging orders / Search Orders

      • A discussion of Imaging Orders and their relationship with Search Orders involving a consideration of relevant principles and practice in obtaining such relief, and the practical application of an order both in England and Wales and outside the Jurisdiction.

1.50pm       Interim remedies (2)

Edward Bennion-Pedley, Natasha Dzameh and Tom Frazer

Freezing Injunctions / Bankers Trust / Assets in foreign jurisdictions

      • Ed Bennion-Pedley and Tom Frazer will discuss the law and practice of freezing injunctions from the differing perspectives of applicant and respondent. This session will also consider Bankers Trust orders and Natasha Dzameh will speak about the application of these interim remedies to assets in foreign jurisdictions.

2.20pm      Evidence of doubtful veracity

Stuart Hornett, George Woodhead and Sarah Walker

Metadata / Forgery

      • An exploration of the court’s guidance on how allegations of forgery or issues in relation to whether a document is genuine should be made in order to be able to take the points at trial and a discussion of strategies to deploy when faced with a potentially fraudulent or fake document.

      • An interactive session exploring the key points arising from recent authorities, including what will constitute unlawful means and the requisite quality of the defendants’ knowledge.

Breach of duty and accessory liability: where are we now?

      • A review of recent cases and developments in the law concerning accessory liability, particularly with regard to fiduciaries’ breach.
