Eleanor became a tenant at Selborne Chambers in October 2023, upon the successful completion of her pupillage. Since then, she has built a busy commercial chancery practice in both the County Court and High Court, incorporating advocacy, drafting and advisory work. She enjoys working both as part of a counsel team or as sole counsel.

- Being instructed (with Thomas de la Mare KC, Robert Anderson KC and Tom Coates of Blackstone Chambers, Rahul Varma and Rosamund Baker) in Stonegate Farmers Limited v. Kent and ors, a c. £150m unlawful means conspiracy claim, involving alleged breaches of competition law undertakings and directors’ duties (including in the reported decision [2025] EWHC 1919 (Ch)).

- Successfully representing a client in a final deputyship hearing in the Court of Protection
- Drafting extensive witness statements for a high-value TOLATA claim
Eleanor has had success twice in the Court of Appeal. Firstly, she acted as junior counsel to Mark Warwick KC in Ahmet v Tatum & Anor [2024] EWCA Civ 255, [2024] 1 WLR 3630, an important case about the interaction of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and access to the civil courts to determine property rights. Secondly, she acted as junior counsel to Clifford Darton KC in the recent case of South East Water Limited v Elster Water Metering Limited [2025] EWCA Civ 287, a £10m breach of contract claim concerning the sale of defective meter waters.
Eleanor is a panel member for Advocate and enjoys taking on pro bono work.
Before coming to the Bar, she graduated with a First-Class degree in History and German from Trinity College, Oxford. During her year abroad, she completed an internship at the United Nations in Vienna.
She obtained a Distinction in her law conversion course and was awarded the Kennedy Scholarship by Lincoln’s Inn for the Bar Course. Upon completion of her Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, she was awarded the No. 5 Chambers Professional Ethics Prize. She was called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn.
Commercial
Eleanor is regularly instructed in commercial cases, both in advisory and advocacy capacities. Eleanor has a breadth of experience acting in a wide variety of commercial actions, such as debt recovery and breach of contract claims. She was instructed as junior counsel in South East Water Limited v Elster Water Metering Limited [2025] EWCA Civ 287, a £10m breach of contract claim concerning the sale of defective meter waters.
Company
Eleanor acts in a variety of company law matters. She especially welcomes instructions in matters involving directors’ duties and a fraud element. She is currently instructed in Stonegate Farmers Limited v. Kent and ors, a c. £150m unlawful means conspiracy claim involving breaches of directors’ duties. During her pupillage, Eleanor “devilled” with a senior member of Chambers on a two-week trial in the Chancery Division of the High Court, on a case involving directors’ duties, transactions defrauding creditors, and land registration.
Recently, she has been instructed in a small company shareholder dispute, applications under s.859F of the Companies Act 2006 regarding the late registration of charges, and in an application under s.125 of the Companies Act 2006 for the rectification of a company’s register of members.
Insolvency
Eleanor is regularly instructed in a range of insolvency matters such as winding up petitions, administration applications, bankruptcy matters, applications to set aside statutory demands, and applications by liquidators for approval of their remuneration.
Property and Landlord & Tenant
Eleanor has built a breadth of experience in property and landlord & tenant matters, including boundary disputes, nuisance claims, TOLATA claims, forfeiture matters, and possession matters. Eleanor’s property and landlord & tenant practice spans both commercial and residential matters. Eleanor frequently acts in cases with both a commercial and a property element.
Trusts, Probate & Estates
Eleanor keenly accepts instructions across this practice area. She has been instructed in cases concerning the Inheritance Act 1975, Property & Affairs in the Court of Protection, and the proper administration of estates.
