• Representing a Miami-based record label during proceedings to enforce a judgment of the Miami-Dade Court in England and Wales.
• Representing the owner of the sportswear brand Umbro in disputes with a Finnish manufacturer with whom it had entered into licence agreements.
• Representing the Defendants/Applicants in an application in the High Court to strike out a circa £1 million claim on issue estoppel/abuse of process grounds.
• Led by Romie Tager KC and Stuart Hornett, representing the Republic of Vanuatu in a claim brought against it for an alleged breach of contract concerning the sale and assignment of its jack mackerel quota issued to it pursuant to the SPRFMO Convention. The case raised an important point concerning the operation of section 13 of the State Immunity Act 1978, which was due to be heard by the Court of Appeal (the matter settled shortly before the appeal hearing).

• Representing the freehold owner of the Ibis Budget Hotel at Heathrow Terminal 5 in a multi-million-pound dispute concerning a licence to operate a car-parking business from the hotel’s car park.
• Led by William McCormick KC, representing the Defendant long leaseholders in a private nuisance claim brought against them.
• Advising the freehold owner of a luxury block of 139 flats on the consequences for the freeholder and the underlessees of the headlease being disclaimed or alternatively forfeited.
• Representing the freehold owner of a £6.75 million mixed-use commercial and residential property in a CPR 8 claim for rectification of the register of members of the residential management company and various service charge disputes.
• Representing the freehold owners of a boutique hotel in claims it brought against a neighbouring property owner concerning registered and prescriptive rights of way, trespass, adverse possession and boundary declarations.
• Instructed by receivers appointed by Barclays Bank (Suisse) SA to recover possession of a £42 million residential property in London.
• Representing King’s College London in various disputes it had with students concerning student accommodation.
• Representing 22 participating leaseholders in their application in the FTT pursuant to section 27A of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.
• Representing the Defendant Landlord in contested lease renewal proceedings under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (grounds (d) and (f)).
• Representing both landlords and tenants in uncontested lease renewal proceedings under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
• Representing Claimants and Defendants in TLATA proceedings.
• Representing various Claimants and Defendants in all types of possession proceedings. Both commercial and residential property.

Recent and on-going instructions include:

• Representing the applicant in a claim to restore a dissolved company to the register, which enabled the applicant to exercise its £4.6 million option against the restored company. The case considered interesting points on the effect of declarations made by the Outer House of the Court of Session in Scotland, the transmissibility of payment obligations, and the effect of such obligations on a compulsory purchase order made in respect of leasehold land.
• Advising the minority shareholder on unfair prejudice proceedings and a separate claim for specific performance against their fellow shareholders and directors.

Recent and on-going instructions include:

• Led by Stuart Hornett, representing the Third Defendant in respect of claims brought against them for, inter alia, deceit, secret commissions, bribery, dishonest assistance, breach of fiduciary duty and unlawful means conspiracy in the sum of circa £5.6 million.
• Representing the purchasers of a circa £1million property in their claim for fraudulent misrepresentation against the vendor.

Recent and on-going instructions include:

• Defending a winding-up petition brought by La Liga concerning alleged non-payments of fees due under an agreement that granted the respondent company the rights to broadcast La Liga matches in West Africa.
• Obtaining a bankruptcy order against a luxury watch deal domiciled outside the jurisdiction in Marbella, Spain.
• Representing various petitioners and respondents in winding-up and bankruptcy petitions.

Recent and on-going instructions include:

• Acting for various companies that have availed themselves of the Non-Domestic Rates (“NDR”) mitigation scheme (“the Scheme”) operated by Verity Commercial Services Limited (“Verity”), concerning claims brought against them for non-payment of NDR by local councils. The Scheme and the issue of who is the “owner” of a hereditament have recently been considered by Mrs Justice O’Farrell inA&P68 Limited v City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council  [2026] EWHC 27 (Admin).
• Drafting and advising on applications to set aside liability orders.
• Drafting and advising on appeals by way of case stated.

• Representing the Claimants in a claim brought against their former solicitors for losses said to have been caused by the solicitors’ failure to complete a property purchase by the requisite deadline.
• Representing the Claimant in a claim brought against their former solicitors following losses said to have been caused by the misallocation of the sale proceeds following the sale of a property.
• Representing the Claimants in a claim brought against their former estate planners following losses said to have been caused by negligent advice regarding IHT.
