The end of the Shareholder Privilege Rule

An appeal from Bermuda has brought an unexpectedly swift end to the uncertainty over the continuation of the long-accepted right of shareholders to inspect privileged documents. In Jardine Strategic Ltd v Oasis Investments Ltd [2025] UKPC 34 it was decided that what was known as the Shareholder Rule no longer forms part of English Law.
