Over the past two weeks, it was Selborne Chambers’ pleasure to welcome three student interns from two schemes aimed at extending access to legal career experience across several groups of young people.
One student joined through the Access to the Bar Award, which funds two weeks of work for students from backgrounds which do not traditionally have history or opportunities within the Bar.
Two students joined through the Bar Placement Scheme, which focuses on expanding the pathways to law experience and improving social mobility.
The interns split their time at Selborne between the chambers and courts, shadowing barristers in day to day business and attending hearings. Everyone at Selborne wishes them all the best for the future.
