Selborne Chambers is delighted that three members of Chambers have been recognised for their involvement in one of The Lawyer’s ‘Top 20 Cases’ of 2026. The list highlights the most significant and high-profile disputes expected to come before the courts in the year ahead.
Barristers Carly Sandbach, Isabel Petrie and Chris de Beneducci of Selborne Chambers, instructed by Howes Percival partner Morris Peacock, and led by David Mohyuddin KC of Radcliffe Chambers, have all been acknowledged for their role in Secretary of State for Business and Trade v Greensill.
Carly, Isabel, and Chris all act for the Secretary of State in this directors’ disqualification claim against the businessman Alexander (Lex) Greensill. The proceedings follow the high-profile collapse of Greensill Capital in 2021 which has given rise to multiple disputes across various jurisdictions around the world. The matter is listed for a six-week trial before Mr Justice Trower, beginning in June 2026.
