The Lawyer’s ‘Top 10 Appeals of 2026’
Selborne Chambers is delighted that Nicholas Trompeter KC features in one of The Lawyer’s ‘Top 10 Appeals of 2026.’ The list highlights the most significant appeals due before the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court in the year ahead.
Nicholas Trompeter KC instructed by Ronald Fletcher Baker partners Rudi Ramdarshan and Victoria Huxley and associate Nii-Amaa Ollennu, acts for the appellant in London Trocadero v Picturehouse Cinemas, which is listed for a 3-day appeal in the Court of Appeal in June of this year. As The Lawyer writes: “The appeal is expected to determine the scope of insurance rent wording, and whether “premium” excludes “landlord commissions”. It will also determine the scope in unjust enrichment cases, principally the availability of restitution that can be recovered alongside a subsisting lease. The consequences of the appeal are expected to have large-scale implications across the commercial rental landscape.”
