Jurisdictional Challenge: Tchenguiz v Grant Thornton UK LLP [2015] EWHC 1864 (Comm)

Carr J has handed down her judgment in Tchenguiz v Grant Thornton UK LLP [2015] EWHC 1864 (Comm). The case concerns the defendants’ alleged involvement in the investigation by the Serious Fraud Office into Vincent Tchenguiz and a number of associated entities, which resulted in a raid and Vincent Tchenguiz’s arrest in March 2011. Here, two of the defendants (Kaupthing Bank hf andJóhannes Rúnar Jóhannsson) applied to strike out the claims on jurisdictional grounds.
