The Court of Appeal handed down judgment in Judgment in Beauty Star Limited v Janmohamed [2014] EWCA Civ 451. Paul de la Piquerie represented the successful Respondent/Defendant to an appeal by the Claimant from the order of Her Honour Judge Faber in the county court at Central London. The Claimant sought to overturn the Judge’s findings on the law relating to rectification of a compromise agreement and the Court’s jurisdiction under CPR Parts 35 and 40 to interfere with the findings of an account taken pursuant to an expert determination. The appeal was dismissed.
