On 16 December 2010, Akenhead J handed down judgment in Schwebel v Schwebel [2010] EWHC 3280 (TCC). The case gives useful guidance as to when an appeal may be made under Sections 68 and 69 of the Arbitration Act 1996. Juliette Levy appeared for the Defendant, who successfully resisted the Claimant’s appeal against an arbitral award on jurisdictional and other grounds.
