Marcus read History at Cambridge University and graduated with a double first, winning various prizes and scholarships. Passing the law conversion course with distinction, he was awarded the Exhibition Scholarship by Inner Temple to support his bar studies at City Law School. There he won the Academic Excellence Scholarship and combined his training with volunteering work as an advocate at the Free Representation Unit. After completing his Master of Laws, which he attained with distinction, he started pupillage at Selborne in October 2024.
After successfully completing pupillage he joined Selborne as a tenant in October 2025. Marcus accepts instructions across all areas of Chambers’ practice.
