Funding for pupils
An award of £40,000 is offered to each successful applicant, of which £8,500 comprises guaranteed second six earnings. This figure will not attract a contribution to Chambers' running expenses. It is anticipated that second six earnings will be in excess of the guaranteed figure.
Up to £10,000 of the pupillage award may be drawn down during the BVC year, the remainder to be paid by equal instalments monthly in advance.
In the unlikely event that the pupillage is determined, any sums advanced to the pupil during the BVC year may be required to be repaid at the absolute discretion of Chambers.
