Camilla's practice covers the core areas of Chambers' work. She has particular experience in the fields of property and insolvency, especially mortgage, Land Registry, professional liability and landlord and tenant related matters, with an emphasis on 1954 Act claims. Camilla is presently involved in several substantial property developments in relation to easements and restrictive covenant issues. She is also currently instructed by a number of banks and building societies against both solicitors and valuers in mortgage related claims.
Camilla regularly acts in County and High Court matters in and outside London. She has also recently successfully appeared in several Land Registry adjudications, concerning right of way disputes, adverse possession and rectification of the register. She has also appeared in the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal on a £250,000 service charge dispute.
Camilla gained a First Class degree in Classics with Arabic from the University of Exeter where she was awarded two Dean's Commendations and the Bertie Black Prize (for the highest overall mark in the department). She went on to study colloquial Egyptian, modern, and Classical Arabic at the International Language Institute in Cairo. She then completed her Masters degree in Classics and Arabic in which she obtained a Distinction, fully funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
Camilla completed the GDL and BVC at the College of Law, Bloomsbury, during which she was graded 'outstanding' in advocacy and won the Lincoln's Inn Moot. She is a recipient of Hardwicke and Wolfson scholarships.
