Camilla Chorfi

Camilla commenced pupillage in Selborne Chambers in September 2008. During this time she worked under the supervision of Ian Clarke and Gary Blaker.

From March 2009 Camilla accepted instructions in her own name in all areas of Chambers’ work. She was most recently, prior to completion of her pupillage, supervised by Stuart Hornett.

She has been a tenant in Selborne Chambers since 23 September 2009.

Camilla gained a First Class degree in Classics with Arabic from the University of Exeter where she was awarded two Dean’s Commendations and the Bertie Black Prize (for the highest overall mark in the department). She went on to study colloquial Egyptian, modern, and Classical Arabic at the International Language Institute in Cairo.  She then completed her Masters degree in Classics and Arabic in which she obtained a Distinction, fully funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.

Camilla completed the GDL and BVC at the College of Law, Bloomsbury, during which she won the Lincoln’s Inn Moot. She is a recipient of Hardwicke and Wolfson scholarships. She has appeared in the LVT and Immigration Tribunal as a pro bono representative and is an active member of Advocates for International Development.
